





An elegant Regency Fold-over Swivel-top Card Table in Mahogany, with Ebony Crossbanding, c. 1815
A mahogany veneered top of rectangular shape with rounded front corners, strung with ebony, which swivels and opens to reveal a green baize lined playing surface, with compartment beneath. The frieze with front corner panels and a rear panel to the back of each side of the frieze, all crossbandedand in ebony, with reeded ebony moulding around the lower circumference. The table is raised on four square standards, terminating in scrolls with applied ebony paterae, upon a quadriform concave-sided platform, supported by four downswept scrolling legs ending in original brass reeded caps stamped 'Yates & Hamper G' and castors.
The table is beautifully presented in good antique unrestored condition, showing particularly good colour and patina throughout, with minor loss to the veneer on the platform and signs
