Design
The design of these elegant tables is informed by the remains of bronze furniture used by Ancient Romans, unearthed during the excavations at Pompeii and Herculaneum, and also depicted on exquisite frescoes that adorned the walls of their 'triklinia' - dining and entertainment rooms. The design incorporates some symbolic elements familiar to the ancients, such as arrows and 'fascia' (one of the symbols of democracy in Ancient Rome) that form the supports of these tables.
