A most unusual early Victorian three tier rosewood etagere, or whatnot, with barley twist columns terminating in finials at the top, and extensive delicate fretwork decoration between the serpentine shaped shelves, raised on four turned legs.
English, c. 1850
Excellent original antique condition, with all the frets and finials intact, which is remarkably rare for its age and fragility. The timber shows a wonderful rich colour and stunning patina.
Structurally sound and sturdy. Original condition with no repairs or alterations.
