







A rare Regency period colonial open armchair in solid padouk, made for English market,
Possibly Anglo-Chinese, circa 1825.
Having a curved and scrolled top rail, the pirced and carved back splat, between the reeded and scrolled armrests on turned and reeded supports, above the finely caned drop-in seat, within the solid seatrails, raised on turned and reeded front legs and outswept back sabre legs. A squab cushion can be made to buyer's taste.
