Fine 19th century Chinese export Qing dynasty black lacquer and polychrome decorated box of octagonal shape, with fitted tray inside. Perfect for jewellery or small objects.

Why we like it
The intricacy of detail of the polychrome and gilt decoration is simply astonishing on this black lacquer box, despite it being nearly 200 years old. A rare oportunity to own such a wonderfully decorative and useful item.

In good antique condition, the box has minor splits to joints and minor wear to decoration.
