A very decorative antique Chinese export flambe glazed pottery vase, mounted as table lamp,
early 20th century.
Why we like it
Its most beautifully contrasting blue and aubergine coloured flambe glazing make this bottle vase a very pretty table lamp indeed.
The voluptuous body of the vase of globular form, rising to broad shoulders and a tall stick neck. The vase is covered in a stunning and complex vitreous oxblood red glaze, with areas of transmutation purple and blue (flambé), thinning at the mouth to brown. With apocryphal Qianlong mark to underside.
May be wired for any country.
