






A fine late 18th - early 19th century George III period fold-over top table in richly figured mahogany, of the elegant Thomas Sheraton design.
English, circa 1795-1800.
The demi-lune shaped top, veneered in richly figured mahogany, banded with tulipwood and inlaid with satinwood, and multiple ebony and boxwood stringing. The top opens to reveal a conforming veneered surface;above the conforming frieze, crossbanded and inlaid with panels and shaped cartouches above each of the square tapering legs. Both rear legs swivel back to support the fold-over top.
