A fabulous graduated set of four of Regency Derby porcelain urns, painted with Italian and British landscape views, in the manner of Daniel Lucas Snr.
Circa 1820.
Why we love them
The gilding beautifully contrasts with the rich cobalt-blue ground, while the exquisite hand-painted Grand Tour landscape views add an extra layer of sophistication.
Daniel Lucas senior (1788–1867)
A vase painted in a similar manner is at the Viacoria and Albert Museum, London.
