A fine and large antique mid-19th century rectangular overmantel mirror,
English, circa 1850's.
Why we like it
An unusually well-balanced design for its period, leaning towards early Louis Seize style in decor, of great proportions, in virtually untouched original condition with only very few historic repairs, beautifully aged gilding and the original, nicely patinated and sparkling mercury mirror plate.
