Venetian Mirrored Sconces

A very chic pair of early to mid-20th century etched mirror wall lights or sconces, with glass candle arms. Now electrified. Italy, Venice, circa 1920–40. 

Why we like them

This elegant design reflects the early 20th century’s fascination with decorative arts of the 1700s, a stark contrast with the modernism, that was steadily strengthening its grip upon the tastes of Italian bohème. Beautifully made, perfectly proportioned. We particularly like the glass arms that have survived intact.
