Why we like it
A very well drawn design, inspired by Classical Antiquity; superb quality, pleasing colour and figuring of the mahogany. Great proportions too, a decorative and useful piece.
Both the design and quality of this table are emblematic of the Gillows workshop, one of the best and largest cabinetmakers in the 19th century England.
