A handsome late 18th – early 19th century George III period drop-leaf or Pembroke table of small proportions. English, circa 1790–1800.
Why we like it
We love the elegant simplicity of this table, its superb colour and patination, as well as the unusual thinness of its components, which lend this design a very delicate look. A rather unusual design too: having no drawer, the inner compartment is reached by lifting the hinged top.
