Melograno Bed Runner

Melograno, the pomegranate, has grown in Puglia for as long as anyone can remember — in walled gardens, along field edges, splitting open in the late summer heat. The motif and colours speak to us of our beloved Apulia, so when we found this opulent cloth, with its trailing pomegranates, blossom and stems worked in fine thread, it felt like ours, even though it came from elsewhere.

Each bed runner is pure 100% wool, made from a bolt of C&C Milano fabric that is long out of production and won't be woven again. The pattern sits against the weave when the cloth lies flat, then catches the light as it folds and gathers. The shimmering of this textile is simply mesmerising. 

At 111" by 24", this bed runner is perfect to be used over the foot of a bed, however, it will also look beautifully thrown across the arm of a chair. Wool this good is meant to be lived with.

When the cloth runs out, that's the end of it — which makes each one a genuinely limited piece.
