A charming pair of early 20th century painted faux bamboo armchairs, of comfortable proportions with excellent original patina. Circa 1920s.

Why we like them

A delightfully elegant design, the frames authentically detailed with segmented faux bamboo turnings throughout the legs, stretchers, and arm supports. The original paint finish has beautifully aged through time and wear.

The chairs have been newly reupholstered in a crisp mustard-yellow cotton trellis cloth that truly complements the painted frame. A pair that combines the early 20th century taste for chinoiserie-inspired furnishings with genuine comfort and graceful proportions.
