Why we like them

Absolutely superb, Ferdinand Barbedienne quality at its best.

Ferdinand Barbedienne

Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810–1892) was a prominent French bronze founder known for producing high-quality bronze works during the 19th century. He established the Barbedienne foundry in 1838, which became renowned for its exceptional bronze reproductions of classical sculptures and decorative art objects. Barbedienne collaborated with many well-known artists and sculptors of his time, and his foundry played a key role in popularizing bronze decorative arts during the Second Empire and beyond. His pieces are highly collectible and remain a testament to the craftsmanship and artistic excellence of the era.
